From 2001 through 2004, The Ellison Medical Foundation funded New Scholar Awards in Global Infectious Disease to support newly independent investigators who were in the first 3 years of their postdoctoral training. Institutions were allowed to nominate one candidate from that institution to compete for the New Scholar Award.

With the termination of the Global Infectious Disease Program in January 2005, we will no longer accept nominations for this award.
