Five Ellison Medical Foundation Senior Scholars elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences, one of the nation's most prestigious honorary societies and an independent policy research center that conducts multidisciplinary studies of complex and emerging problems, has announced its 2012 Class of Fellows. Ellison Medical Foundation scholars included in this group include Ben Barres, MD of Stanford University School of Medicine, Senior Scholar in Aging in 2011; John Carlson, PhD of Yale University School of Medicine, Senior Scholar in Global Infectious Disease in 2004; James Collins, PhD of Boston University, Senior Scholar in Aging in 2007; Stuart Kim, PhD of Stanford University School of Medicine, Senior Scholar in Aging in 2002; and David Scadden, MD of Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital, Senior Scholar in Aging in 2008.
