2012 Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Workshop on Cognitive Aging

This new workshop will provide students with the most current understanding of the cognitive aging field by bringing together researchers who apply complementary analytical approaches and offer diverse biological perspectives on research in neuroscience and aging. Topics will include: the hippocampal formation, the frontal lobe, human neuroimaging techniques, animal models, the molecular cell biology of cognitive aging, emerging interventions and therapies, and the bioethics of cognitive enhancement. The workshop is organized by Scott Small, MD (Columbia University) and Adam Gazzaley MD, PhD (University of California San Francisco). Funds to support this workshop have been provided by The Ellison Medical Foundation, The McKnight Brain Research Foundation and The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation.
